Look, the most chilling part of the Iliad is definitely how the gods interact with the war and the mortals caught up in it. Their complete disconnect from the reality of death and grief. They’re like cosmic authors more concerned with narrative themes, interesting character arcs and fated moments of glory and tragedy, than with the blood and sweat and grit and stench of the battlefield. The gods are Homer. The gods are the readers. The readers are complicit in the cosmic horror being played out before their eyes.

dr who is so crazy imagine your species goes extinct except for two theater kids who call themselves The Orthodontist and the Administrator and they just go around causing problems and destroying your entire culture’s reputation
did you hear about the ancient race of enchanted elves? they fell into the darkness of their own hubris. anyway that over there is the two survivors, Wiz and da Boss, who are only taking breaks from kicking each other in the nuts to make out
If you live in the US and you have a phone you need to keep secret for any reason, make sure that it is turned off at this time.
Yes, I’m doing this months in advance, and yes, my blog has very little reach, but I figure better to post about it more than less.
Please reblog and add better tags than mine, I’m bad at tags.
does anyone know if i can like block sites from appearing in my google images searches??? i keep getting those awful ai generated things with a hand coming out of a man’s neck and just straight up not what i was looking for, because this was in a search for “curly hair in medieval paintings”. it happens every time i search for anything vaguely art-reference-like and it’s so fucking annoying and it clutters my search results so much. i don’t wanna add specific commands to the query every time too, what i need is like a browser extension or something
okay i found one! it works! everyone come get your blacklist 👍👍👍
I made a list of as many ai sites i could find to block with ublacklist, just copy and paste them in ublacklist’s options menu
Woof… man…
Can you imagine if the prompt had actually been understood by the AIs and they had shown you generated images that actually look like it came from the 1100s…?
A scholar who know the subject well might understand it is not the real thing. Anyone else might just take it as facts and not check the source.
There is already so many misinformation out there, we don’t need robots to create more by accident…

For those confused: the player in dark blue was faking out shooting a basket. The defending player in green fell for the fake out and jumped past the player in blue attempting to block the shot. The player in green then landed out of bounds. The player in dark blue then passed him the ball. Out of reflex the player in green caught it. Since that player was out of bounds and now has the ball the ball is handed back over to the dark blue team.
Every artist who sees this post should do the following:
- Watch the video.
- Follow the instructions
- Reblog
I can’t stress you enough about how important these exercises are for your drawing hand. You don’t wanna get CTS of Tendonitis and similar stuff that will prevent you from making art or even hold a pencil.
Okay, this guy is my HERO. I just did these exercises as I watched the video, and already my arms and hands feel better. I have a degenerative tendon disease that prevents my muscles, tendons and ligaments from retaining their elasticity, and so anything that maintains the health of my bendy parts is important.
I URGE YOU. Even if you don’t draw, do these several times a day. Even just sitting at a computer can do serious damage. My dad, who was a rugby player, a carpenter, and now a handyman, suffered from severe carpal tunnel syndrome, simply as a result of sitting at the computer at the end of the day to play a little solitaire. Don’t let it happen to you!
((Guys, I will reblog this like, 5 times a day just so you all will see this. This is REALLY helpful, and it’s quick and easy.))
Wow, these are REALLY helpful. And yes, this is not just good but IMPORTANT for more than artists — if you type a lot, play a lot of video games, do anything that requires lots of repetitive movements of your hands, wrists, and arms (gardening, sewing, factory work), these can help. Even if you don’t yet get pain these are a great preventative measure, because the damage builds up over time. Youth is no protection.
And like he says, you should feel a stretch, but don’t push it too far!
Signal boosting. Guys, I just did this and holy cow do I feel incredibly light and limber in my arms. Again, even if you don’t have any sort of disease, do this as a preventative measure.
Spending years toiling at wizard school in the notoriously elitist necromancy department, barely scraping by for several years before they begrudgingly give me my necromancer degree, all so that I can go sit on the beach and revive ediacaran fossils on the beach and look at the creatures.
Spending years infuriated at wizard school in the notoriously lax druidry department, getting no grant money and having to practically teach myself for my dissertation before they remember to give me my druid degree, all so that I can go sit on the beach with you and ensure that the ediacaran fossils on the beach you revive are able to fulfill their dietary needs and won’t destabilize the supernatural ecosystem.
